Shakira (Full Name: Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll), is a globally known Colombian musician and songwriter. She is mainly known for her hips not lying, and other bops. The Popstar has recently been in the headlines for tax evasion and her messy relationship with her ex Gerard Piqué Bernabeu, the Spanish former football/soccer player.
She released a diss track on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, with Bizarrap. As of today, this song is #1 on Trending for music on Youtube. Rightly so! The song hits with iconic shots fired at her ex-partner and his replacement for Shakira.

Shakira’s Tax Fraud/Tax Evasion
Spanish Prosecutors charged Shakira with six counts of tax fraud for failing to pay 14.5 million euros ($15,708,647.50 USD) in income taxes. She could face a steep fine and a prison sentence.
According to The New York Times article, the prosecutors were seeking an eight-year prison sentence and a fine of more than 23 million euros ($24,917,165.00 USD).
Yet, according to our Columbian Pop-star Shakira, she has paid the Spanish government 14.5 million euros ($15,708,647.50 USD), even though she was not a resident between 2012 and 2014. She believes that since she was dating one of the most popular athletes in Spain, they became hungry for her money even though she was touring the world.
A Spanish judge did approve a trial in September 2022, after Shakira rejected a settlement deal with tax authorities, however, a date has not been set for this trial.
Shakira & Piqué’s Relationship
Shakira and Gerard Pique’s relationship actually started with infidelity.
Shakira was currently with De la Rúa an Argentine lawyer when she met Gerard Piqué. Shakira and De la Rúa were together for 11 years before they abruptly separated from each other and made a joint statement in regard to their romantic relationship. The statement was listed on Shakira’s official website, but it is no longer available.
“Since August 2010, we made a mutual decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship,” the letter reads. “Throughout this time we have continued to work together hand in hand, have remained close and have kept the details absolutely private until now.

De la Rúa and Shakira’s relationship started to fall apart when the singer met Gerard Piqué in 2010 when participating in the World Cup held in South Africa. Shakira and Gerard Piqué Bernabeu started exchanging text messages which eventually led to them becoming a couple for almost 12 years.
Shakira Hires A Private Investigator
The Beautiful Liar Songstress received documents and images from the private investigators that revealed not only the footballer/soccer player’s crazy nightlife but also confirmed that Gerard was cheating on Shakira with a 22-year-old waitress, Clara Chia whom he met at the club.
Clara Chia and Gerard were having an affair for about a year before Shakira became aware of the relationship. Chia & Piqué are still currently together.
There are rumors that Gerard wasn’t just with Clara Chia, but several other women and is actually known for being a cheater.

You traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo
Many people have interpreted this line negatively towards Shakira since Ferraris are known to be high-maintenance and many men don’t like high-maintenance women.
However, this line can be taken as she’s too powerful for him.
If you have a car that requires more maintenance than you can handle or afford, or you simply can’t take advantage of the car’s features, you usually have to downgrade to something that you can handle. In this situation, Shakira is saying that Gerard can only handle a Twingo which is a simple French automobile.

Shakira is undeniably gorgeous, so having her at your side when in public is the equivalent of having a sexy sleek Rolex on your wrist.
Gerard decided he would rather have a Casio on his wrist. Something basic, but gets the job done. This is also a shot at Clara Chia calling her cheap, basic, something that anyone can pick up on the street.
In this case, Clara was picked up at the club whereas Shakira was found at the World Cup.

This is Shakira saying he isn’t thinking which if the rumors are true he definitely isn’t.
The rumors are that when Shakira was out having vacation days with their two children, Piqué had Clara Chia in the home that the couple shared.
That’s normal, but apparently, Gerard Piqué and Clara Chia were enjoying the children’s frozen entrees, and Clara Chia was wearing Shakira’s clothes.
