The minds of nerds are exploding like 11 year olds as though they just blasted their first rocket in science class in elementary school.
Facts about the movie
1. “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.
2. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.
3. It is set to release on May 6th, 2022 in theaters only. They do not want to repeat the mistake they made with the Black Widow release.
My thoughts while watching the trailer
- What is that blaring note in the track of this trailer? It is obnoxious.
- Do we really need to have that big fisted girl, Ms. Marvel in the movie?
- That’s definitely Picard/Professor X talking.
- I am bored.
- Are those dinosaurs?
- This is definitely a theater experience movie.
Sorry, but I am underwhelmed.
I see the reactions all over YouTube. YouTubers across the globe screaming about how everything is so amazing! It strikes me as odd because I am far more emotional over Peter McKinnon‘s b-roll footage.
Don’t get me wrong. I am still going to see Doctor Strange 2, even though it seems there’s more Scarlet Witch than Doctor Strange…
I don’t think I have ever gushed with excitement from viewing a Marvel movie/show trailer. In fact, I wasn’t interested in watching Wanda Vision at all. However, the more I watched the more it grew on me…. but, Loki was the complete opposite.
I get it. They don’t want to confirm the theories nor the leaks. Plus, they don’t want to give away the plot. So, we are just left with speculation and the best of chopped up visual effect clips.
Also, why does the color grading bother me?
I definitely believe it will be your typical Marvel Studios movie… much like your favorite meal.
After being served the same dish over and over again. It isn’t plated as beautifully as the first time, but you know it is going to be damn good or will this be the time they actually fuck it up?
I doubt it.
This movie has the magic formula to make the fans fall in love.
The showcasing of multiple universes which makes it easy for them to throw in an abundance of fan service featuring characters many would absolutely love to see, a lukewarm plot, a new big bad, and lots of crazy visual effects.
I guess I will be excited to see more Potteresque wizard/witch dueling scenes. That never gets old.
Oh, and getting to see Patrick Stewart will be great. Tell me that’s not him!
