Marlena Stell

Marlena Stell is sick and tired of giving away all of her knowledge for “free” on YouTube and other platforms so she has decided to repackage her dead cosmetic brand, Makeup Geek into something else that is already dated.

Online courses.

Yep! The perfect choice for the lazy scam artist. Everyone stuck at home wanting to make $10K a month was throwing up a course.

I guess she figured if everyone falls for every scam that Jaclyn Hill runs then she could do the same because pretending to be “little sweet and innocent Marlena” isn’t bringing in those dollars.

If you are ready to learn about makeup and you have money to blow after spending $100 on three items from your local convenience then you are in luck! Marlena has put together four tantalizing packages that your bank account will love!

The Glow Up (Intermediate) — (estimate: 6 hours of training), $1,047 total if you choose to make 3 payments of $349. If you choose to pay in full at checkout the total is $897 saving you a whopping $150. This package comes with over $840 in bonuses!

The Total Transformation (Advanced) — (estimate: 9 hours of training), $1,797 total if you choose to make 3 payments of $599. If you choose to pay in full at checkout the total is $1,497 saving you a whopping $300. This package comes with over $2,400 in bonuses!

The Certification (PRO) — (estimate: 12 hours of training), $3,597 total if you choose to make 3 payments of $1,199. If you choose to pay in full at checkout the total is $2,997 saving you a whopping $600. This package comes with over $4,500 in bonuses!

All of the packages/courses are backed by Makeup Geek Academy’s “love it or leave it” money-back promise!

Oh, and if you think that you won’t love your Makeup Academy course you should file for a refund at the time of purchase based on what the Refund Policy states.

Makeup Geek Refund Policy

First of all, I think calling it your love it or leave it refund policy is misleading because if someone loves something it doesn’t require genuine effort. I don’t think you go on a date with someone and say well I’m going to invest at least 50% of my time trying to love this guy I just met before I give up. Also, there is a line that says that you may be eligible for a refund… Is it up to Makeup Geek to decide if the purchaser gets their money back? Miss Marlena Stell, which one is it?

As someone who has assisted many people with building their course programs, I can tell you that this is a safeguard tactic because too many people were creating courses where the lessons were 5-minute Canva videos full of 1999 Microsoft clipart and their pupils were not happy.

However, let’s use Marlena Stell’s Beginner program as an example it looks like there is a total of 20 lessons therefore you would have to complete at least 10 lessons. Each segment/lesson is “bite-size” lasting anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes. “Bite-size” is a marketing word to make consumers think you’re helping them, but truthfully it means the whole program had minimal effort put into it.

Also, this refund policy reeks of Vanessa Lau who preached this tactic when she was running her Instagram Boss program, that she no longer runs because it was all too much for her.

Lastly, in the Makeup Geek Pro Course program you get 1 on 1 time with Marlena Stell herself, or do you? That’s another thing. She mentions a certified Makeup Geek Coach. Honestly, that could be anyone.

Here’s The Problem With The Makeup Geek Academy

If you genuinely love makeup and feel this is going to elevate you then do it, but please do not act like this certification that you are getting from Marlena’s cute little makeup school is going to open up new doors because it is not a legitimate certification. It’s a made-up piece of paper that you can make yourself.

Seriously, just grab a piece of paper and a Sharpie and write “Makeup Geek Academy Certification” then write your name and sign it. It is the same thing.

“This is actual makeup education.  This is most comparable to spending thousands of dollars and hours going to a legit makeup academy…” Marlena Stell

Wait, what? Yes, it does cost anywhere from $15,000 to $20,000 for cosmetology school, but that is also because it includes the hours needed to get your state license. You will not be able to get your state license after Marlena takes your money. Point blank period.

Marlena Is Just As Bad As Her Ex-Bestie Jaclyn Hill

She knows this and we know it. It’s just Marlena isn’t as captivating as Jaclyn, but there isn’t a camera or business that Marlena won’t craft up to get a dime. She’s been on CNN, she’s created a clothing brand, Marste, and much more while also creating a career out of crying over Jaclyn Hill backing out of a contract with her.

She really does have a knack for saying a lot but nothing at the same time. I just want to know if one of her Makeup Geek Certified Coaches will be Jaclyn Hill.
