DC’s Gotham City Sirens returns this August, but this time it has a Wild Wild Twist!
In the new story, Harley, Ivy, and Catwoman are going on a Western themed adventure out by Gotham’s county line, facing off against the likes of Punchline, and a quartet of mysterious new villains called the Nasty Boys, a “cowboy-henchmen sensation soon to be sweeping the nation,” according to DC’s news release. Or, as Williams puts it, “ominously horny half-naked cowboys with automatic assault weapons.” — Polygon
DC’s Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy ongoing comic book series will be interrupted for a monthlong adventure August 2024. The series will introduce four new issues with a Wild Wild Twist!
Do not fret as the original ongoing series will promptly return in September 2024.
Gotham City’s residents and wildlife lives at risk because of a violent and highly illegal energy drink-sponsored hunting operation. The Gotham City Sirens (Catwoman, Harley, and Poison Ivy) are the only ones that can save the day. They’re going to save Gotham City and they don’t care what side of the law they are on.
Special Appearances by White Rabbit, Punchline, and Introducing the Nasty Boys!
I’m thrilled that we not only get to see Punchline, but we get a rare White Rabbit appearance, too! I know some people are not loving Punchline, but they need to give a Alexis Kaye a chance and get some great writers to sit and cook so we can get the badass villain we deserve.
The Nasty Boys are sweeping the nation for being cowboy-henchmen sensation! I’m gathering that the girls of Gotham City are going on a himbo hunt full of antics!
Gotham City Sirens August 2024 will be written by Leah Williams (DC’s Power Girl; Marvel’s X-Factor), with gorgeous artwork from Matteo Lolli (DC’s Harley Quinn; Marvel’s Deadpool), Daniel Hillyard (Image’s Plush, Vinyl, Plastic), and Brandt & Stein (DC’s Harley Quinn: Black + White + Redder; Marvel’s The Mighty Captain Marvel).
