Nintendo dropped the Bayonetta 3 trailer, on July 13, 2022 revealing the release date to be October 28, 2022.

Yes, you read that correctly. We are getting Bayonetta 3 this year in approximately 105 days… So, a little over 3 months!

First of all, seeing the trailer was released and then finding out that the game is dropping this year is too much for my being to handle because for the longest there haven’t been any exciting games. The last semi-interesting game that I was considering just to have something to play was Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Yet, just about a week ago we got the exciting announcement about Lollipop Chainsaw, and now this.

However, after watching the Bayonetta 3 trailer. I will be completely honest and just say it.

The Bayonetta 3 trailer is underwhelming.

This badass Umbra Witch is in My Top 3 Favorites when it comes to video game characters so I am disappointed, but this is just a trailer. I haven’t played the game yet…

Based on the trailer alone the graphics aren’t the best especially when games like Tell Me Why which came out in 2022 (which is a very good game, you should definitely play it) look better. I will just blame the console for that I guess.

Also, why does her face look noticeably different?

Here’s what to expect from the third installment of Bayonetta

Oh, yeah! Nintendo introduced Naive Angel Mode (no nudity). It was first seen ins Super Smash Bros for the 3DS and Wii U. Yet, now you can play the game in front of your family because she doesn’t make it awkward… or less awkward? I mean this is Bayonetta. You’ve played the game, right? She’s got a mouth on her.

There are some super cool things that will be in this game though. Such as Demon Masquerade in which she temporarily assumes demon form and Demon Slave which is an expansion of the Climax Summons and allows you to take control of demons.

Platinum Games is being rather quiet about the story of this installment, but we know she is in Tokyo and that there’s definitely some slaying that will be done. Here is their official statement

I cannot deny that the statement alone makes me want to play. The video though? Not so much. Nonetheless, it doesn’t even matter because I am going to play this game which means I have to play on a Nintendo Switch, but even before that, I need to pre-order the game.
